This part of the site is a bit of an experiment; it is not meant as a ‘lonely hearts’ page (although we’re open minded!) but rather because it is often more pleasant (and sometimes safer) to fish in company.  Similarly members can place non-trade adverts for equipment here. If you want to take advantage of this facility please contact Matthew Nightingale (giving your full details including membership number).

Possible Ladies Group

A suggestion from one of our lady members Dr Judith Clark who wishes to know if other lady members would be interested in forming a ladies group within RADAC, with a view to going fishing together, sharing lifts on fishing trips, and generally having a good time with like minded lady friends. If you are interested you can contact Matthew Nightingale  who will pass on your details to Judith or you can contact her direct by e-mail

A retired lady member is looking for a fellow salmon angler who is willing to accompany her fishing RADAC’s rivers.  If interested please make initial contact with Matthew Nightingale.
Committee member Peter Thornley offers a rod repair service. He can undertake all rod repairs including ring replacements, refurbishments, splicing broken sections, etc.; no job is too small. Peter can be contacted by
e-mail or in the evenings on 01772 865141.
For Sale: One Hardy Fibalite 'Spinning' rod 290 cm / 9 1/2 foot long; Number JV9915.

In mint condition this rod appears never to have been used (I bought it from the widow of a Club member). The handle is still in its shrink wrap with only slight discolouration at the ends. No apparent marks or chips to the rods finish. Rubber butt pad shows no signs of ever having been rested on the bank! The rod has seven wire rings with only the tip being lined; the lining is unmarked. The tip section still has its original rubber protecting bung. Comes with its original dark blue bag with beige tapes; the tapes have yellowed with age.
