MAINS HALL FARM CARAVAN

Mains Hall Farm now has a web site advertising their caravan which is available to members fishing there; it can be found here

CAR PARKING AT SUNDERLAND HALL (from June 2008)

Members should note that a lorry weighbridge has been built in the farmyard and in future we park in the enclosed, fenced and gated area provided. Also be aware that there is increased heavy traffic on the access road to the farm.

MITTON HALL

RADAC has arranged two tickets on the Environment Agency water at Mitton Hall on the Ribble. This stretch is on the left hand bank looking downstream from the Aspinall Arms at Mitton down to Calderfoot and up the Calder to the first fence. The tickets cover trout fishing until the end of the season (September 31st), course fishing until March 15th 2009 and salmon and sea trout for the months of August, September and October 2008.

We hope to be able to make the same arrangement for next year if there is sufficient interest.

There are special rules on this stretch in terms of bag limits.

  • no more than one salmon per year per member N.B. this will constitute one of the two fish permitted to be killed under EA and Club rules.
  • four sea trout per visit
  • two brown trout per visit
  • all course fish to be returned
  • all salmon must be tagged, on the river bank, at the time they are killed, with an Agency carcass tag valid for the current season.

All members wishing to fish this stretch must first book by ringing Derek Harwood on 01254 826252 with their name and RADAC membership number before fishing. A month by month record of all members fishing and all migratory fish catches has to be made to the EA so members are required to report this to Derek following fishing. You do not need to pick up a ticket but you must have with you your RADAC membership book and salmon tags if fishing for Salmon. Members should display their Club tag and parking permit at all times.

PS: Please book this fishing well in advance as Derek will be on leave at times during the above periods and booking will not be retrospective. In his absence bookings may be made with Ian Bentley.

CARR SIDE LAKES

We have renewed the arrangement with the owner, Mr Cowgill, for an additional year. The lock on the gate has been set to this year's number (see the last page of your membership booklet). Please remember to fill in the catch return folder in the cabin.

If you require further information please contact Fred Hall (mobile number 07880 696492 or email him).
