Type: The western most of two ponds associated with a former mill; now a business park. Map: Link Availability: All members. Disabled Access: Pegs are gravelled and near to the parking area but access to some pegs requires walking along a narrow, boarded, path. Species: Carp, tench, perch, pike and silver fish. Under no circumstances should members park in the business park. General Description: Froom is the western most  of two ponds associated with a former mill site; now a business park. It has seven pegs on the western side. Access Arrangements: Road access is best achieved by taking Froom Street off the B6228. Follow Froom Street across the canal and over the M61. The water is associated with the Lower Healey Business Park; post code PR6 9AR. Access to the water requires the angler to enter the business park through an automatic barrier at the entrance. To get the barrier opened you should ring the Club Secretary (Matthew Nightingale) when you pull up to the barrier. You must make a prior agreement with Matthew as to when you will be at the barrier. He will then ring a security number and the barrier will open. There is no-one on the business park that will let you in. When the barrier opens enter the business park and follow the road in a clockwise direction. The access to the water is to the left; indicated by a RADAC sign. There is a gate into the water itself which is secured by a Club padlock. To leave the site continue clockwise to the barriers which will open automatically. Restrictions: All Club rules apply with the following additional restrictions: Micro-barbed hooks only. No braided main line. No lead core leaders. No fish over 4lb to be kept in a keep net. RADAC rules in respect of pike fishing apply. In addition, the practice of setting a ‘sleeper rod’ for pike whilst fishing for other species is forbidden. Members may not take guests to this water. Junior members must be accompanied by an adult (member or non-fishing parent/guardian). Members may only fish this water for a continuous period of up to 24 hours. They must then leave and not return for 48 hours.  Notes: There is otter fencing around this water. Members spotting any damage to the fencing must immediately report it to a member of the Committee. Likewise members should ensure that the entrance gate is propoerly closed at all times.  There are no toilets at the water.
