Moreton Hall Farm

Type: River Calder, one and a half kilometers of single bank fishing. Map: Link Availability: All members. Disabled Access: Access down to the river from the farm is steep and may be difficult for those with mobility problems. Species: Game and coarse. Grid Reference of Main Access Point: SD 745347 Grid Reference of Upstream Limit: SD 745340 Grid Reference of Downstream Limit: SD 741351 Car Parking:  There is a car park at the end of the access road to the water. General Description: Single bank river fishing. The Club has the water on the other bank although the two lengths are not continuous. Access Arrangements: Access is from the A680 Accrington Road shortly after its junction with the A671 Burnley Road (traveling South). The road to the Farm is identified by a gate house on the main road. Access is only to be made via the farm and not at either end of the water. Restrictions - horses: The riparian owner allows riders to use a path along the river bank. Members should be alert to their presence and avoid leaving tackle where it may obstruct riders.
